What is the application process?
A third-party screening company conducts credit, employment, rental history, and criminal background checks after a completed application is submitted. Applicants must provide proof of income equal to at least 2.5x the monthly rent. A security deposit is required at the time of lease execution.
Can I compare floor plans?
Yes. During the application process, you will have the ability to compare up to three floor plans.
Is this a gated community?
Yes, the community offers controlled access.
What is your pet policy?
We welcome dogs, cats, birds, and fish. A maximum of two pets per apartment is permitted, with a 75 lb weight limit per pet. Pet fees and monthly pet rent apply. Breed restrictions apply, and exotic pets are not permitted. Temporary or visiting pets are not allowed.
Can I apply online?
Yes. You can apply directly through the website by selecting your desired floor plan and completing the online application. A $50 refundable application fee per applicant is required at submission. Payment can be made via bank account (E-check) or credit card.
What lease terms are available?
We offer lease terms ranging from 7 to 24 months
What amenities does the community offer?
Amenities include a fitness center, heated swimming pool, clubhouse, social lounge, cyber café, conference room, outdoor kitchen and BBQ areas, car care center, playground, and dog park.
Who is the electric utility provider?
TECO is the electric utility provider.
Who provides cable and internet service?
Internet service is provided by Frontier through a bulk package and is an additional monthly expense.
Do you offer garages?
Garages are available and are accessible from interior breezeways. They are not directly attached to individual apartments.
What shopping and dining options are nearby?
The community is conveniently located within five miles of a variety of shopping, grocery, dining, and fitness options.
Do you have a dog park?
Yes, the community includes a dog park.

Do you offer a preferred Employer Program?

What are the move-in costs at The Carlton at Lake Dexter?
The administrative fee is $0. There is a refundable security deposit ranging from $300 to $500.
Are there amenity or community service fees?
The Carlton at Lake Dexter offers several community services at no additional charge. Amenity access, key fobs, and parcel pending are all $0.
How much does garage parking and storage cost?
Garage parking ranges from $125 to $200 per garage, per month, plus tax. Storage rooms range from $50 to $75 per unit, per month, plus tax.
Are EV charging stations available and are there additional fees?
EV charging station usage is based on usage. EV charging station garage setup requires a $350 one-time installation/setup fee.
Does The Carlton at Lake Dexter charge for pest control or valet trash?
No. The Carlton at Lake Dexter provides pest control and valet trash services at no additional charge to residents.
Does The Carlton at Lake Dexter charge late fees?
No. Rent is due on the first and considered late on the second, but the community does not charge late fees.
